Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 2025

Uonyx ("Uonyx", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website at https://uonyx.com and within our cloud-based enterprise ERP platform (collectively, the "Services"). These technologies help us operate the Services, understand how they are used, improve your experience, and support our marketing activities.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, the types we use, how you can manage your preferences, and your rights in relation to the cookies we place. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, available at https://uonyx.com/legal/privacy, which provides further information about how we handle personal data collected through our Services.

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@uonyx.com.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, or mobile device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to recognize your device over time and across sessions, and to respond in ways tailored to your activity and preferences.

Cookies can collect information such as your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you navigate between them.

In addition to cookies, we may use related technologies including:

  • Web beacons and pixels: Small transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track whether a page was loaded or an email was opened.
  • Session and local storage: Browser-based storage mechanisms used to preserve preferences and session state on your device.
  • Tracking scripts and SDKs: Code embedded in the platform or website that collects usage data and transmits it to Uonyx or our service providers.

Cookies may be session-based (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remaining on your device for a defined period). They may be set by Uonyx directly (first-party cookies) or by our service providers operating on our behalf (third-party cookies). Our access to and control over third-party cookies is limited to the scope of our Services.

You are not required to accept all cookies. However, declining certain cookies may limit the availability or quality of some features of the Services.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

Uonyx uses the following categories of cookies. The table below summarises their purpose and whether they can be disabled.

CategoryPurposeCan be disabled?
Strictly NecessaryCore platform functionality, authentication, security, and session managementNo — essential to operate the Services
FunctionalUser preferences, language settings, interface customization, and personalizationYes — may affect personalization
Performance & AnalyticsUsage measurement, error detection, and platform performance monitoringYes — reduces our ability to improve the platform
Marketing & AdvertisingAd retargeting, campaign measurement, and interest-based advertisingYes — some advertising may still appear

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential to operate our website and platform and cannot be disabled. They enable core functions including authenticating your login, maintaining your session, routing traffic, preventing fraud, and making your cookie preference settings work. Because they are necessary for the Services to function, these cookies are always active and do not require your consent.

2.2 Functional Cookies

Functional cookies enhance your experience by remembering your choices and preferences, such as language settings, display preferences, and interface customizations. Without them, certain personalized features may not be available to you.

2.3 Performance and Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our website and platform. These cookies help us measure traffic, identify errors, understand navigation patterns, and assess the performance of our features. Analytics data may be processed by third-party analytics service providers acting on our behalf. Where required by law, we request your consent before activating these cookies.

2.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

Marketing cookies allow us and our advertising partners to deliver relevant advertisements, measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, and build audiences for retargeting. These cookies may track your browsing behavior across websites. We only activate marketing cookies with your consent, except where applicable law permits otherwise.

3. HOW WE USE COOKIES

We use cookies across our website and platform for the following purposes:

  • To operate and secure the Services, authenticate users, and protect accounts
  • To analyze how our website and platform are used so we can improve features and resolve issues
  • To remember your preferences so you do not have to re-enter them on each visit
  • To support our marketing activities, including delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • To personalize your experience based on your usage patterns and stated preferences
  • To support integrations with third-party tools you choose to connect with your account

Where cookies collect information that is personally identifiable or can be combined with other data to identify you, our Privacy Policy at https://uonyx.com/legal/privacy applies in addition to this Cookie Policy.

We may combine non-personally identifiable information collected through cookies with other data we hold about you to improve your experience — for example, to recognize you when you return to our website or determine whether you already have an account.

A current list of the third-party service providers we engage in connection with cookie-based technologies is available at https://uonyx.com/legal/subprocessors.

4. COOKIES IN THE UONYX PLATFORM

In addition to cookies on our marketing website, Uonyx uses cookies and similar technologies within the authenticated platform environment. These support the operation of all platform modules, including CRM, Accounting, HR and Payroll, Projects, and internal communication tools such as Raven (Uonyx's workplace communication and collaboration module). Specific uses include:

  • Maintaining authenticated sessions across all platform modules
  • Storing user interface preferences, default views, and module configurations
  • Enabling real-time dashboards, live reporting, and automated workflow features
  • Supporting API authentication and third-party integrations authorized by your account
  • Collecting aggregated usage data for platform improvement and feature development

Cookies within the authenticated platform are primarily strictly necessary or functional. Where analytics technologies are deployed within the platform, they operate under Uonyx's internal data governance policies and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement between Uonyx and the relevant customer.

5. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

We engage certain third-party service providers who may deploy cookies or similar technologies in connection with our Services. By category, these include:

  • Analytics and performance monitoring providers: Collect usage and performance data on our behalf to help us improve the Services.
  • Advertising and remarketing partners: Deliver and measure targeted advertising campaigns.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers: May use technical cookies for load balancing, routing, and security.
  • Customer support and communication platforms: Support live chat, helpdesk, and customer engagement features.

Where you enable third-party integrations through your Uonyx account, the connected provider may also deploy their own cookies. Those cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy and cookie policies, not by this Cookie Policy.

All third-party service providers who process data through cookies on our behalf are contractually required to comply with applicable data protection laws and act only on Uonyx's instructions. A current list of Uonyx sub-processors is available at https://uonyx.com/legal/subprocessors.

6. HOW YOU CAN CONTROL COOKIES

6.1 Cookie Consent Banner and Preference Centre

When you first visit our website from certain locations, a cookie consent banner will appear, allowing you to accept, reject, or customize your preferences. You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in our website footer. Strictly Necessary cookies are always active and cannot be disabled.

6.2 Browser Settings

Most web browsers provide controls to manage cookies, including accepting or rejecting them globally or per site, deleting stored cookies, blocking third-party cookies, and setting notifications before a cookie is stored. These settings are typically found in your browser's Settings, Privacy, or Security menu. Adjusting browser settings affects all websites you visit, and disabling cookies may prevent some features of our Services from working.

6.3 Opt-Out Tools

Users may opt out of interest-based advertising using the following industry tools:

  • United States: Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info/choices
  • Canada: AdChoices at www.youradchoices.ca/choices
  • EU and UK: European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance at www.youronlinechoices.eu
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): Uonyx recognizes GPC browser signals as a valid opt-out from the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, where required by applicable law.

Opting out of interest-based advertising means you will still see advertisements, but they will be less personalized.

6.4 Mobile Devices

If you use our Services on a mobile device, you may manage advertising and tracking preferences through your device's system privacy settings. Please note that clearing cookies or using a new browser or device may require you to re-apply your preferences.

7. "DO NOT TRACK" SIGNALS

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to indicate that you do not wish to be tracked. Because no uniform industry standard currently governs how websites must respond to these signals, Uonyx does not change its data collection or use practices in response to DNT browser signals at this time.

You may still manage your preferences through our cookie preference centre and browser controls as described in Section 6. For more information about Do Not Track, visit www.allaboutdnt.com.

8. OPT OUT — SALE AND SHARING FOR TARGETED ADVERTISING (U.S.)

Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws in other states, the sharing of certain device and browsing information with third parties through advertising cookies may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as processing for targeted advertising purposes.

8.1 California

In California, Uonyx only activates cookies that may result in a "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information if you have affirmatively opted in to non-essential cookies through our consent banner. These cookies are inactive by default. To opt out at any time, click "Cookie Settings" in our website footer, disable "Allow sale and sharing of personal information", and save your preferences. You may also use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal on a participating browser to opt out.

8.2 Other U.S. States

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with applicable privacy laws may opt out of the processing of personal information for targeted advertising purposes using the same controls described in Section 8.1 above.

Note: If you clear your cookies or access our Services from a different device or browser, your opt-out preference may need to be re-applied.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Information collected through cookies may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States where Uonyx is headquartered. Such transfers are conducted using appropriate legal safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognized transfer mechanisms. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy at https://uonyx.com/legal/privacy.

10. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, applicable law, or our business practices. Changes will be reflected in the updated Effective Date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice through our website or platform.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed of how we use cookies and your available choices.
